I obtained my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Certificate in Natural Childbirth (midwifery) from the oldest fully accredited naturopathic college in the nation, National College of Natural Medicine (now NUNM) in Portland, OR in 2009. My undergraduate degree is in Japanese and Economics from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.

I wanted to become a doctor from a young age, dreaming of becoming a Coroner, Pathologist or Surgeon. My last position before entering Naturopathic Medical School was as a Japanese interpreter/translator.  I've worked as a barista, a ski instructor, a commercial painter, a Japanese teacher, a legal secretary and a process server until Naturopathic medicine eventually revealed itself as the true path for me.
